About Us

The chef, Héctor Aínsa, a cook by vocation and lifelong Aragonese, relies on the traditional base to develop a fusion cuisine that is dynamic, fresh, refined and professional in its preparations and dishes. His cooking is based on local products that blend with spices and ingredients from other countries. The Gastrotaberna Locavore restaurant grew in Teruel with the La Menta restaurant, which it has offered as an internship for young chefs and cooks, as well as participating in social and inclusive projects linked to the city. Now, in 2021, Héctor wants to expand his kitchen idea with the name of Locavore to the same modernist town of Barcelona, in the Eixample neighbourhood, where he will offer the best product, exceptional flavours, avant-garde technique at the best price as a flagship brand.
